Mr. Mujahid Bhatti is a seasoned journalist based in Islamabad with over 30 years of experience in the field. His extensive career spans nearly all of the country’s leading newspapers. He began his journey in journalism with the Daily Hararat in 1991 and has since contributed to numerous respected publications, including the Daily Kainat, Daily Khabarin, and Daily Dhan Kahwan Chakwal. He also worked as Chief Reporter for Monthly Overseas Islamabad. Notably, he received the Best Journalist Awards many times during his tenure.
In 2012, Mujahid Bhatti was appointed as the Bureau Chief for The Daily Jhok Saraiki in Islamabad, where he played a pivotal role in promoting Seraiki culture. He pioneered Seraiki Melas in Islamabad, advanced Seraiki literature, supported Saraiki artists, and championed the Seraiki identity. His efforts also extended to encouraging Seraiki youth and fostering the Seraiki Union in universities.
A dedicated advocate for human rights and freedom of expression, Mujahid Bhatti has been actively involved in human rights and press freedom movements throughout his career. He has been a member delegate of the PFUJ, a former governing body member of the NPC and IUJ, and has worked with Jag Media Group. Currently, he serves as the Editor-in-Chief for Health Dunya, Voice of Wasib, Daily Jag, and Voice of Wasib News Agency.
